Getting There

The village of Mendocino is 3 hours from the Golden Gate Bridge without stopping.

Try to get on the road before 2:00pm to avoid hideous rush hour traffic past Novato.

Get gas in Cloverdale before heading onto Hwy 128. Gas in the village is crazy expensive!

The drive up Hwy 128 is spectacular anytime of the year.

If you have time, there are a number of great wineries in Anderson Valley along Hwy 128.

We don't recommend driving on Hwy 128 in the dark. If you have to, it's ok but it's very windy in the redwoods and there are deer.

Places to stop on the drive:

Healdsburg

     Barndiva

     Healdsberg Bar & Grill

     Cousteaux French Bakery

Cloverdale

     We love Flavias

Boonville

The Anderson Valley Market & Liquor grocery has great sandwiches.

Paysanne for ice cream, espresso and treats.
